Product Overview:

The Microbiome DNA Isolation Kit provides a fast and convenient method for isolating total DNA from a wide variety of microbiome samples collected with swabs. It is compatible with both fresh (dry transport) swabs and swabs preserved using standard DNA preservation systems.

This universal protocol enables the simultaneous isolation of genomic DNA from host and microbial cells present in the sample. The kit efficiently removes PCR inhibitors through a combination of chemical and physical homogenization and lysis, followed by a spin column purification procedure.
