ExpressArt®: The future of mRNA amplification
APPLICATIONS WITH SPECIAL ADVANTAGES
LASER MICRODISSECTION
- Very small samples ~ cells or 100 picogram total RNA.
- No need for calibrated amounts in sample series: directly compare
small areas with a few cells and large areas with thousands of cells.
- Option to perform 3 amplification rounds.
- Archival Templates: in vitro transcription test reaction, before using labelled NTPs.
- No need for optimal RNA quality, optimized "TR technology" for recovery of
all mRNA sequences - independent of poly-A.
BACTERIAL mRNA AMPLIFICATION
- No need to remove rRNAs: "TR technology" enables selection against rRNAs (<2% in amplified RNAs)
and priming near the 3'- ends of mRNAs - independent from a universal sequence (like poly-A).
- Universal selection against rRNAs (intact and degraded) based on structure,
not based on sequence.
- Option to perform 2 amplification rounds.
- Very small samples ~ 50,000 bacterial cells or 1 nanogram total RNA.
- Very flexible microarray design is available - customised for your species!
PARAFFIN (FFPE) SAMPLES
- The only FFPE kit with low amounts of rRNA sequences (<2%) in amplified RNAs!
- Optimized "TR technology" for recovery of all mRNA sequences -
by priming near the 3'-ends of all mRNA fragments, independent of poly(A).
- Flexible with large and small samples, with 1 or 2 amplification rounds.
WHOLE TRANSCRIPT ARRAYS: EXON AND GENE ST ARRAYS
- Use degraded RNA samples and paraffin (FFPE) samples.
- Very simple procedure: the only kit which does not require rRNA removal, combined with low amounts of rRNA sequences (<2%) in amplified RNAs!
therefore, without compromise in detection sensitivity!
- Optimized "TR technology" for recovery of whole transcript mRNA sequences -
by priming near the 3'-ends of all mRNA fragments & by additional internal priming at stop sites of reverse transcriptase.
- Flexible with large and small samples, with 1 or 2 amplification rounds.
